A Pool of Our Own
What not to do in the swimming pool!!
It’s good to be able to invite friends round to share in the fun but maybe not wise to indulge in some of the incidents that these people got up to!
Looks like the dark winter evenings are here and long gone are the sunny days we enjoyed this year.
However we are already planning for the year ahead and one big project we have decided to embark upon is to build a swimming pool of our own in the back garden. In this economic climate there was no chance of getting away for a holiday this year so with what we saved on going away we can now use to build a pool of our own.
What could be better than after a long and tiring day at work to return home and straight out into the garden for a swim in the pool? No more having to stand in the queue at the local swimming baths and hope when you get in there that it is’nt full to capacity.
Another advantage of starting the project at this time of the season is that looking around there are some great deals on offer. In order to avoid the VAT increase of 2.5% its advisable to get your orders placed before January 1st 2010. There are also large reductions on swimming pool covers and swimming pool chemicals etc.
I am aware that this is quite a massive project but there is a lot of help and advice from the people supplying these pools, right down to help with calculating the correct size for the pump required and also even working out the costs of lighting.
One absolute necessity has got to be a cover, not only to keep the pool clean and hygienic but importantly from the safety aspect. They come in various designs from polyethylene covers to sturdy filled in swimming pool enclosures. A lot is dependant on budget but there is a great choice to select from.
I can't wait til the summer!!
