They run at high speeds with the fastest moving more than 60 miles per hour. Mopeds come equipped with two wheels and usually have a step through body, while disability scooters have three wheels and a baggage carry add-on. Both are considered electric scooters.
Electric scooters are becoming popular for the many advantages they provide over cars or other gasoline powered methods of transportation. They're quiet and environmentally friendly. They have little to no maintenance beyond recharging. You never have to stop at a gas station or pull into Wal-mart for an oil change. While electric scooters cost more than gasoline power scooters, they're relatively inexpensive when compared to electric cars on the road.
